- **Faster export**: PDF and PNG export and copying a selection as an image are about six times faster and PDFs are up to eight times smaller, because stroke outlines are simplified before export (at most 0.01 mm off; `INK_NOTES_EXACT_OUTLINES=1` exports every point as before)
- **Fling timing**: The swipe speed for gliding is measured with the touch screen's own event times (Wayland), so a fast swipe glides even when the lift is handled late; the fling diagnostics also report slow event handling
